Toolkit Resources
Empowering 5th Graders for the Digital Frontier
Classroom Technology Toolkit is specifically designed to support 5th grade students and their parents within the Lewis Palmer School District 38 community. Our mission is to provide a curated collection of high-quality educational materials, including interactive PowerPoints, detailed documents, and engaging infographics, all aimed at enhancing the learning experience through modern technology.
In today’s fast-paced digital world, mastering tool proficiency is only half the battle. This toolkit places a significant emphasis on digital safety and responsible citizenship. By providing clear, accessible guidance on navigating the internet securely, we ensure that students are not only tech-savvy but also well-equipped to act with integrity and caution in any online environment.

Digital Citizenship & Online Safety
Digital citizenship is the responsible and respectful use of technology, including how students communicate, protect their information, and treat others in digital spaces. Online safety focuses on helping students recognize risks like scams, cyberbullying, and oversharing personal details, and teaching them strategies, such as strong passwords and talking to trusted adults, to stay safe while using the internet.

Parent Guidelines & District Policies
Parental guidelines explain how families and schools work together to keep students safe and responsible when using technology, including expectations for device use, online behavior, and communication between home and school. District policies outline the official rules and protections for student data, privacy, and acceptable use of digital tools, ensuring that all technology supports learning while safeguarding students’ personal information.
